Bracing for the Presidential Election: Healthcare on the Political Divide
As the 2024 HLTH conference in Las Vegas approaches, the air is thick with questions surrounding the future of healthcare. Healthcare reform has long been a staple in election cycles, yet this year, it has remained surprisingly under-discussed in political dialogues.
With the 2024 Presidential Election just around the corner, digital health companies, providers, and payers alike are grappling with how changes at the federal level could impact healthcare regulation and data liquidity.
To address these pressing concerns, Zus Health and HTD Health are co-sponsoring an exclusive invite-only dinner at Cut on Tuesday, October 22nd from 6-8 pm.
Dinner will kick off with cocktails and programming featuring two industry thought leaders Jonathan Bush, CEO and Founder of Zus Health, and Brendan Keeler, Interoperability Practice Lead at HTD Health, who will share their expertise and predictions for the future of care. Brendan Keeler recently highlighted, “We could see challenges on the ASTP and their certification program, pushing regulatory agencies to be more cautious and reflective of their authorized scope by Congress.”
Adding another perspective, Jonathan Bush remarked, “There’s a lot of opportunity to shape the low-level work, the rulemaking, and other aspects of data use currently not under enforcement but are allowed under HIPAA.” Together, these viewpoints suggest an uncertain but pivotal period ahead for digital health companies.
